This is a fantastic 4-day high-end tour to Kenya’s premier game reserve, the Masai Mara. This Masai Mara safari departs from Nairobi, where you will proceed via the Great Rift Valley with its spectacular views and onwards to the beautiful Masai Mara National Reserve. You’ll spend your days in Masai Mara in search of the abundant wildlife. Masai Mara is especially well-known for its large cat population and is home to the annual wildebeest migration, a wildlife epic like none other on earth.

Day 1: Nairobi- Masai Mara National Reserve

We will pick you up from the hotel and drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewing point to take photos of the historical escarpment. Masai Mara is part of the Serengeti vast plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. You will have an introductory game drive on this day. This prepares you for the full-day game drive on the next day. Later, you’ll drive back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you’ll leave for a full-day game drive with your packed lunch. The amazing wildlife experience continues. On the plains are large herds of herbivores grazing, cheetahs, and leopards hiding in their locations. Masai Mara is the heart of Kenyan tourism with large species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and over 400 bird species recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Your picnic lunch will be at the Mara River migration point. After your picnic lunch, you will have some rest before embarking on your late afternoon game drive until late in the evening. You will later drive back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve Game Drives

You’ll enjoy another full day exploring the endless plains of Masai Mara. Masai Mara National Reserve is a 1510sq km wildlife area which is a small extension of the larger Serengeti National Park. The Masai Mara is world-renowned for its large abundance of wildlife estimated to be more than 3 million individuals and the highest concentration of big predators including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals, and serval cats. This is one of the main reasons why doing the 4-day safari is justified. You will wake up for an early morning game drive. The midday meals will be at the picnic Mara River migration point. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4: Masai Mara- Nairobi

You’ll have an early morning game drive in search of animals killing and eating. Later, you’ll come back to the lodge for breakfast and then check out of the camp. You’ll leave for Nairobi with a picnic lunch en route. In Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your place of choice.
